Following the child
Little Willow’s curriculum is grounded in Maria Montessori’s philosophy. The environment is carefully prepared so children can investigate the world around them, choose purposeful work and learn at a pace that supports their individual development.
Freedom in a Montessori classroom is not freedom without boundaries. Children learn to make choices, respect others, complete activities and gradually develop self-discipline and confidence.

Grade R with a thoughtful bridge to primary school
Because many Little Willow Grade R graduates continue into traditional schools, the latter part of the Grade R year is adapted to help prepare learners for that style of classroom while maintaining the strengths of Montessori learning.
